Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having a sub chamber function that can eliminate the possibility of the interference with peripheral components at an installation location and that can prevent increases in the number of components and manufacturing man-hours, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: In a two-wheeled motor vehicle including an engine 30 discharging exhaust gas from a combustion chamber in a cylinder of a cylinder head 32B via an exhaust port 80, a concave portion 85 is provided in an exhaust channel wall surface 85a halfway along an exhaust channel of the exhaust port 80. It is thereby possible to prevent reductions in a flow volume of the exhaust gas and in a flow velocity thereof, and to reduce exhaust loss. As a result, engine torque can be improved with quite a simple structure. Furthermore, the structure of providing the concave portion 85 in the exhaust port 80 does not impose any restriction on the layout of engine peripheral components. 【課題】設置箇所周辺の部品と干渉の虞がなく、部品点数も増大並びに製造工数が多くなることのないサブチャンバ機能を備える内燃機関およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】シリンダヘッド32Bのシリンダ内の燃焼室からの排気を、排気ポート80を介して行うエンジン30を備える自動二輪車で、排気ポート80の排気流路の途中に排気流路壁面85aに凹部85が設けられている。これにより、排気ガス流量および流速の低下を防ぐことができ、排出損失を低減させることができる。この結果、極めて簡易な構造でエンジンのトルクを向上させることができ、しかも、排気ポート内に凹部を設ける構造であるので、エンジン周辺部品のレイアウトに制約を加えない。【選択図】図8
