Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel heat-resistant alloy for solid oxide fuel cells which is a Cr-free steel for solid oxide fuel cells and has excellent hot workability and excellent oxidation resistance equal to or higher than that of stainless steel.SOLUTION: A steel for solid oxide fuel cells comprises 2.0-10.0 mass% Al, 6.0 mass% or less Nb and remaining Fe and impurities. The addition of a minute amount of Nb improves oxidation resistance and hot workability, and the lower limit of Nb is preferably 0.02 mass%. The content of Al, which improves oxidation resistance, is preferably 5.0-10.0 mass%.
