PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the manufacturing time of a liquid discharge head and simplify the work in the manufacturing of the liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a liquid discharge head includes the steps of: preparing an element substrate including an element for generating energy used for discharging a liquid, a wiring board 3 which is electrically connected with the element substrate 2 by a lead wire 8, and a support member 4 including a first support part and a second support part 16; applying a sealing material 5 to the second support part 16; placing the element substrate 2 on the first support part and placing the lead wire 8 in contact with the sealing material 5 applied to the second support part 16; and hardening the sealing material 5. 【課題】液体吐出ヘッドの製造時間の短縮を可能にするとともに、液体吐出ヘッドの製造時における作業の簡易化を可能にする。【解決手段】液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法は、液体を吐出するために利用されるエネルギーを発生する素子を備える素子基板と素子基板２とリード線８により電気的に接続された配線基板３と、第１の支持部と第２の支持部１６とを備える支持部材４と、を用意する工程と、第２の支持部４に封止材５を塗布する工程と、素子基板２を第１の支持部に載置し、リード線８を第２の支持部１６に塗布された封止材５と接触させる工程と、封止材５を硬化させる工程と、を備える。【選択図】図３
