Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner including a dust sensor detecting a floating matter in the air by electrostatically charging the floating matter, and capable of adjusting the detection frequency of the dust sensor in accordance with an installation environment.SOLUTION: An air cleaner 100 serving as an air conditioner comprises: purification means for purifying air; a human body sensor 50; and a dust sensor. The human body sensor 50 detects whether a person is present. The dust sensor detects a floating matter in the air. The air cleaner 100 is configured to increase a detection frequency of the dust sensor per unit time if it is detected that a person is present as compared with a case where it is detected that no one is present. 【課題】空気中の浮遊物質を静電気帯電させて検出する塵埃センサーを備えた空気調和機であって、設置される環境に応じて塵埃センサーの検出頻度を調整することが可能な空気調和機を提供する。【解決手段】空気調和機としての空気清浄機100は、空気を清浄化するための浄化手段と、人体センサー50と、塵埃センサーとを備える。人体センサー50は、人の存在を検知する。塵埃センサーは、空気中の浮遊物質を検出する。空気清浄機100は、人の存在が検出される場合に、人の存在が検出されない場合よりも塵埃センサーの単位時間あたりの検出回数を増加させるように構成されている。【選択図】図1
