PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate sheets of which size should be stored in which sheet storage part, by excluding the sheet storage part which cannot store sheets of a recommended size, in the case where the sheet storage part is not available for storing the sheets of the recommended size corresponding to an image size of a printing object.SOLUTION: A printer specifies a paper feed tray capable of storing printing sheets of a recommended size as an APS object tray (S106), and when the APS object tray is available in which the printing sheets of the recommended size are stored, prints an image on the printing sheets stored in the APS object tray for storing the printing sheets of the recommended size (S109). On the other hand, when the APS object tray in which the printing sheets of the recommended size are stored is not available, a tray number of the specified APS object tray and the recommended size are displayed (S110). 【課題】印刷対象の画像の寸法に対応する推奨寸法の用紙が収容されている用紙収容部がない場合にどの寸法の用紙をどの用紙収容部に収容すべきかを推奨寸法の用紙を収容不能な用紙収容部を除外して示す。【解決手段】印刷装置は、推奨サイズの印刷用紙を収容可能な給紙トレイをＡＰＳ対象トレイとして特定し（Ｓ１０６）、推奨サイズの印刷用紙が収容されているＡＰＳ対象トレイがある場合、推奨サイズの印刷用紙を収容しているＡＰＳ対象トレイ、に収容されている印刷用紙に画像を印刷する（Ｓ１０９）。一方、推奨サイズの印刷用紙が収容されているＡＰＳ対象トレイがない場合、特定したＡＰＳ対象トレイのトレイ番号と、推奨サイズと、を表示する（Ｓ１１０）。【選択図】図６
