Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer using phase change ink which vents bubbles in an ink flow channel out of the flow channel.SOLUTION: An inkjet printhead 540 includes an oleophobic membrane 550 in a manifold 530, and the oleophobic membrane 550 allows air to be vented out of the manifold 530, allows ink to be contained in the manifold 530, and allows ink to flow from an inkjet body 565 to the inside. The oleophobic membrane 550 includes a metal structure having a nanostructured surface and low-surface energy coating disposed on the metal structure. 【課題】相変化インクを用いるインクジェットプリンタにおいて、インク流路中の気泡を流路の外へ放出する。【解決手段】インクジェット540は、マニホルド530内に撥油性膜550を有し、撥油性膜550は、空気がマニホルド530の外へ放出され、インクをマニホルド530内に含有し、インクがインクジェット本体565から内へ流れ込むことを許容する。撥油性膜550は、ナノ構造表面を有する金属構造および金属構造に配置される低表面エネルギー被覆を有する。【選択図】図5
