Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which efficiently discharges a charged potential in a liquid crystal panel employing an IPS system.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: an IPS type liquid crystal panel 20 which includes a first substrate 3 having a plurality of electrode pairs each having a pixel electrode and a counter electrode, a second substrate 2 opposing to the first substrate 3 and interposing a liquid crystal layer together with the first substrate 3, a conductive film formed on the second substrate 2, and a polarizing plate 1 disposed on the conductive film; a touch panel 7 adhered to the polarizing plate 1 by an adhesive layer 11; and a conductive member which mutually connects a ground electrode formed in a region of a surface on a liquid crystal layer side of the first substrate 3 excluding the region where the first substrate 3 and the second substrate 2 oppose to each other, and the conductive film formed on the second substrate 2. The conductive member has a smaller height than that of the polarizing plate 1 in a view from the first substrate 3; and in a plan view, the touch panel 7 covers the conductive member disposed on the second substrate 2. 【課題】IPS方式の液晶パネルに帯電する電位を効率よく放電する液晶表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】それぞれが画素電極と対向電極とを有する対の電極を複数有する第一基板3と、第一基板3と対向し液晶層を第一基板3とで挟み込むようになっている第二基板2と、第二基板2上に形成された導電フィルムと、導電フィルム上に配置されている偏光板1とを有するIPS型液晶パネル20と、接着層11によって偏光板1に接着されるタッチパネル7と、第一基板3と第二基板2とが対向している領域を除いた第一基板3の液晶層側表面の領域上に形成されたグランド電極と、第二基板2上に形成された導電フィルムとを互いに接続する導電部材とを有し、第一基板3から見て、導電部材は偏光板1よりも高さが低く、平面視において、タッチパネル7は第二基板2上に配置されている導電部材を覆っている。【選択図】図4
