Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for electrode composition for battery having a dispersion and viscosity adjustment function and capable of being used not only as a binder of two-component system but also as a binder of one-component system, in which DC resistance is reduced when compared with prior art, conductivity of an electrode can be enhanced, expression of battery capacity is facilitated, and high solid differentiation of electrode composition is possible.SOLUTION: A binder for electrode composition forming the electrode of a battery contains a polymer having a cyclic ether group of 5-membered ring or 6-membered ring in the side-chain.
