Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fuse from getting melted although there is no need to melt a fuse in a plurality of parallel-connected fuses.SOLUTION: A power storage system has: a power storage device (10) including a plurality of power storage elements (12) connected in parallel, a plurality of fuses (12b) connected in parallel with each of the plurality of power storage elements, and a controller (40) for controlling the charge/discharge of the power storage device. The controller uses the voltage values of the plurality of power storage elements and the internal resistance of each power storage element to calculate a current value flowing in each power storage element. When the amount of damage to each fuse corresponding to the calculated current value is larger than a threshold, the controller limits the charge and/or the discharge of the power storage device.
