Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a suction volumetric efficiency of fluid at a suction segment formed at a cam ring.SOLUTION: This invention comprises a rotor 22 connected to a rotating shaft 21 and rotated, a plurality of vanes 24 held at a plurality of vane grooves arranged at the rotor 22 in a radial direction in such a way that they can be advanced or retracted, and a cam ring 30 formed into a cylindrical shape having an inner peripheral surface 30C forming a cam surface inside to form a pump chamber 40 defining fluid between the adjoining vanes 24 enclosing the rotor 22, and having one end side suction port 60 (a first suction port 61) forming a suction passage for fluid to the pump chamber 40 and one end side discharging passage 70 for fluid from the pump chamber 40 (a first discharging port 71). Then, the first suction port 61 is constituted by a groove formed while maintaining a prescribed width from the inner periphery to the outer periphery at an axial side part of the cam ring 30 and arranged at a side part spaced apart from the first discharging port 71 with a longer suction-discharging distance Sc than a vane space Sv at the contact locations of vanes 24 formed at the inner peripheral surface 30C by the adjoining vanes 24.
