Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire pressure monitor without requirement to update the protocol.SOLUTION: A tire pressure monitor includes a memory module 11, a receiver module 12, and a control module 13. The tire pressure monitor reads out a protocol according to external indication or internal discrimination. The external indication makes the control module read out a protocol from the memory module according to an external signal, and then makes the control module compare the read out protocol with a protocol of a tire pressure signal received from the receiver module. If the comparison of protocols is agreed, the tire pressure monitor decrypts the tire pressure signal. The internal discrimination makes a control module compare a different protocol memorized in the memory module with the protocol of a tire pressure signal. If the comparison of protocols is agreed, the tire pressure monitor decrypts the tire pressure signal.
