Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a difference between a luminescent color of a light source and a luminescent color of a light guide plate as much as possible in a surface light-emitting device.SOLUTION: A surface light-emitting device includes: a light guide plate 1 having glass plates 12 respectively closely secured via an adhesive layer 14 to both surfaces of a resin plate 11; and a light source 2 that allows the light from one end surface of the light guide plate 1 to enter the inside of the light guide plate 1. As the light source 2, there is used one having a blue center wavelength in a wavelength range of not less than 460 nm nor more than 490 nm, or one having a blue center wavelength in a wavelength range of not less than 440 nm nor less than 460 nm and having a color temperature of 4000 K or less.
