Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage tank capable of attaining a long life of a tank main body.SOLUTION: A supporting device 2 (Fig.1(b)) is fixed to a lower end plate 11 of a tank main body 1 storing hot water and receiving inner pressure, through a fixing member 20 (Fig.1(a)). Although a plate-like part 21 of the fixing member 20 is welded to the lower end plate 11 by spot welding, the lower end plate 11 is extended or shrunk by pressure variation generated at the tank main body 1 and a high stress is generated at a welded part 28, in particular, the welded part 28 of a lower side member 21c. Then, the side member 21c is provided with a recess part 21s acting as a low rigidity part recessed in the direction of the axis the lower end plate 11. With this arrangement, since the welded part 28 of the side member 21c can be easily deformed following a deformation of the lower end plate 11, stress at the welded part 28 is released and its fatigue breakdown can be prevented and a long life of the tank main body 1 can be attained.
