Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark ignition type engine with a turbosupercharger, achieving improved torque by avoiding abnormal combustion when the engine operates in a medium-speed range and in a high-load region.SOLUTION: A valve train 12 is constructed so as to set an opening/closing timing for each of an intake valve 9 and an exhaust valve 10. The valve train 12 sets a valve closing timing for the intake valve in such a manner that charging efficiency is a predetermined value or less when an engine body (an engine 1) operates in a medium-speed range and in a high-load region, sets opening/closing timings for the intake valve and the exhaust valve in such a manner that an overlap period is provided where a valve opening period for the intake valve and a valve opening period for the exhaust valve overlap each other, and sets a valve opening timing for the exhaust valve in such a manner that a timing for a trough in the pressure pulsation of exhaust gas coincides with the overlap period.
