Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake cover of an elevator hoist that can be removed from above a car without reference to a layout of the hoist.SOLUTION: There is provided a brake cover of an elevator hoist that includes a brake which brakes a motor for hoist for elevating a car and a pulse generator which detects the rotating speed and rotating acceleration of the hoist, and the cover includes: a first side face cover which is fitted to the hoist so as to cover the hoist from its side face; a second side face cover which is fitted to the hoist opposite the first side face cover so as to cover the hoist from its side face; and a pulse generator cover which covers the pulse generator arranged facing an opening part formed of the first side face cover and second side face cover, and also fitted so as to close the opening part.
