Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device that prevents unpredictable rotation of a cushion part during an initial stage of inflation and expansion, allowing the cushion part to expand appropriately between a rider and a side wall of a vehicle interior.SOLUTION: A curtain airbag device 100, which is stored at the top of a side wall of a vehicle interior, comprises: a cushion part 140 that is stretched in the forward/backward direction of the vehicle, is stored rolled up from bottom to top, and inflates and expands downwards when a gas is supplied; and a long protector 180 that covers the cushion part 140. The protector 180 has a rotation-prevention part 194 that is integral with the protector 180 and that interferes with an assist grip bracket 192, which is affixed to a vehicle body around the protector 180, to prevent the cushion part 140 from rotating.
