PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container easy to be assembled by a sheet body, having high retention of a posture of a stored article, and suitable for both suspending and self-supporting, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A packaging container 10 includes a first main surface part 12, and a second main surface part 14 connected to the first main surface part 12, and is provided with a partition part 16 in a storage part 20 between the first main surface part 12 and the second main surface part 14 formed in a cylindrical shape. The partition part 16 is formed with an article insertion hole 50 for filling an article G to be packaged, a bottom part 24 between the first main surface part 12 and the second main surface part 14 expands outward, and a bottom piece 28 connected to the partition part 16 is bridged over the inner surface of the first main surface part 12 and the inner surface of the second main surface part 14 to close the storage part 20.
