Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a life of a battery and control reduction in conveyance efficiency of an automated guide vehicle (AGV), avoid reduction in a battery life caused by overcharge/overdischarge of the battery, and avoid stop of the automated guide vehicle (AGV) caused by shortage of a battery residual.SOLUTION: A charge/discharge control system for a guide vehicle 11; makes the guide vehicle 11 travel along a travel lane 21 composed of a loop circuit with a secondary battery as a power supply; measures charged amounts by actually measuring residual amounts of the secondary battery at a plurality of points A to F provided on the travel lane 21; predicts a discharge pattern of the secondary battery by accumulating actual measurement data of the residual amounts of the secondary battery; compares the actual measurement value and a prediction value; discharges the residual amount to the lower limit of a management range before performing full charge, when the residual amount of the secondary battery in the middle of the travel lane 21 is larger than the prediction value of a use amount in the case of continuing the traveling and the residual amount of the secondary battery has not reached the lower limit of the management range; and performs full charge without discharging the residual amount when the residual amount of the secondary battery has reached the lower limit of the management range.
