Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator which enables efficient use of a generated gas and is useful for e.g. air bags.SOLUTION: In a gas generator, an initiator 418 and a brittle part 440 of a chamber tube 428 are connected through a mixing chamber 450 and a fluid. When the initiator 418 is ignited, a combustion gas produced by the initiator 418 flows into the mixing chamber 450 and comes in contact with the chamber tube 428 having flexibility to crush the chamber tube 428. The liquid within the chamber tube 428 is then pressurized to open the brittle part 440. When the pressure of the liquid exceeds a specified pressure, the liquid is allowed to flow from the chamber tube 428 into the mixing chamber 450, and the liquid and the combustion gas are mixed to vaporize the liquid and cool the combustion gas.
