Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental light evaluation device that understandably informs a user of superiority of color rendering property.SOLUTION: An environmental light evaluation device comprises: an acquisition part 12 that acquires spectral distribution data from the outside; a calculation part 14 that includes chromaticity calculation means for calculating both observation chromaticity based on the spectral distribution data and reference chromaticity under prescribed reference light, with respect to multiple prescribed testing colors with prescribed spectral radiance ratios respectively predetermined, and includes color rendering index calculation means for calculating a color rendering index for the prescribed testing colors on the basis of the observation chromaticity and the reference chromaticity; and warning output means that outputs a warning on the basis of comparison between an arithmetic average value of the color rendering index and a prescribed threshold value.
