Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique in which an optimum curvature value of an imaging element can be acquired which can fully suppress an image plane aberration or the like, according to an imaging lens.SOLUTION: An imaging device 100 has a camera unit 10 and an image processing unit 20. The image processing unit 20 has an image input section 23, an image processing section 24, an image processing control section 26, and a signal input-and-output section 25. The image processing control section 26, when a captured image for estimation is input in the image input section 23, allows the image processing section 24 to calculate the similarity between the captured image relating to a standard image 30 projected in a determination area and the captured image relating to the standard image 30 projected in a standard area which is located in the center of an imaging element 18, for each determination area located in the standard area and an outer circumferential section. The image processing control section 26 calculates a correction value of the curvature value on the basis of the similarity calculated for each determination area to output it to the camera unit 10 through the signal input-and-output section 25, when it is determined that the curvature value of the imaging element 18 is not appropriate on the basis of the similarity calculated for each determination area.
