Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture an optical fiber attachment ferrule having satisfactory, stable quality by preventing occurrence of damage such as crack or chip in the optical fiber when the front end of the ferrule, through which the optical fiber is passed and held, is polished.SOLUTION: A first through-hole 4 through which an optical fiber cable 20 is passed through, and a second through-hole 5 through which an optical fiber is passed through are continuously provided along the central axis of the ferrule. An adhesive reservoir 6 continuing from the front end of the second through-hole 5 and having a diameter larger than the second through-hole 5 are provided in the form of a recess at the front end of the second through-hole 5. After adhesive 11 is injected into the adhesive reservoir 6, second through-hole 5, and first through-hole 4, the optical fiber cable 20 is passed through the first through-hole, and the optical fiber 21 is passed through the second through-hole 5 and adhesive reservoir 6, and the adhesive is cured. Then, the front end face of the optical fiber 21 is exposed by polishing the front end of the ferrule 1.
