Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable artificial muscle with a suppressed expansion rate of an elastic rubber since in a conventional artificial muscle, an elastic rubber pipe repeats expansion/contraction but lacks durability because of a large expansion rate and, when expanding, the elastic rubber pipes becomes thin and its strength decreases.SOLUTION: In a double corrugated pipe artificial muscle, an elastic rubber pipe reinforced by fiber in an axial direction is doubled, a shape maintenance ring 2 is provided outside an outside pipe 1a and inside an inside pipe 1b, an internal diameter is made thick, and the expansion rate is reduced.
