Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system and a radio communication method that can achieve near MIMO transmission by signal processing with a little load.SOLUTION: In a radio communication system according to the invention, an amplitude ratio between a channel between facing antenna elements and a channel between antenna elements in an oblique direction is one, and each antenna element is arranged so that phase difference will be 90 degrees. The radio communication system comprises: distributors (2211-2213) and phase shifters (2221-2223) that work as weighting units that weight each of signals from reception antenna elements (211-213) with an amplitude ratio 1:2:2, and give phase rotation of -135 degrees to a signal weighted corresponding to the first item of the amplitude ratio; and combiners (2231-2233) and receivers (231-233) that work as decoders that combine and decode the signal given the phase rotation and signals weighted corresponding to the respective second item and third item of the amplitude ratio.
