Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element that can achieve a narrow light distribution angle, and hardly causes color unevenness and color coding even if it is applied to a light source including a light emission surface (light emission section) having a size, and to provide a luminaire using the optical element.SOLUTION: The coordinates of any two points mutually shifted in the optical axis direction on a C incident side surface of a recess are denoted with P1(Px1,Pz1), P2(Px2,Pz2), and satisfy the following equation Px1<Px2 (1), Pz1>Pz2 (2), and α1>α2 (3). Here, the optical axis is set as the Z-axis having a positive direction from the incident surface to the outgoing surface, and the axis orthogonal to the optical axis is set as the X-axis having a positive direction separating from the optical axis. The angle between the optical axis and the normal line that passes the point P1 and is perpendicular to the incident side surface is denoted with α1(°), and the angle between the optical axis and the normal line that passes the point P2 and is perpendicular to the incident side surface is denoted with α2(°). |
