PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of removing dirt existing between fibers of clothing with bubbles.SOLUTION: There is provided a washing machine including: a housing tub for housing clothing; a bubble generation part including a housing which defines a generation space in which bubbles for cleaning the clothing are generated; a supply part for supplying liquid containing a detergent to the housing tub and the bubble generation part; an air blowing part for blowing air to the bubble generation part; and a control part for controlling the supply part and the air blowing part. The control part causes the liquid to be supplied to the bubble generation part and the air to be supplied from the air blowing part to the bubble generation part to start the generation of the bubbles, and then makes the supply part supply the liquid to the housing tub.
