Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote inflow of surplus oil from a return oil passage to a main suction oil passage to improve discharge efficiency of discharge oil from a main discharge port, in a vane pump in which an outer peripheral oil passage provided around a cam ring in a pump housing is connected to the main suction oil passage provided in the pump housing so that the return oil passage of surplus oil communicates.SOLUTION: A vane pump 10 includes flow passage regulation means 70 that directs oil, which inflows into a main suction oil passage 23a provided in a pump housing 11 from a return oil passage 60 provided in a cover 12, to the main suction oil passage 23a rather than an outer peripheral oil passage 40, in the vicinity of a connection part with the outer peripheral oil passage 40 in the main suction oil passage 23a provided in the pump housing 11.
