Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia-containing silicone resin composition excellent in heat resistance and light fastness and also excellent in transparency, and having a high refractive index.SOLUTION: The zirconia-containing silicone resin composition comprises, based on 100 pts.wt. of a silicone resin, 1-400 pts.wt. of zirconia particles which are surface-modified with a silane coupling agent having, as substituent, a saturated hydrocarbon group having carbon atoms of 10 or more and have an average particle diameter of 1-20 nm.
