Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denim fabric excellent in quick-drying property, and stretch recovery property, in which a back face of the woven fabric is smooth and has a soft and dry touch feeling and thereby has a comfortable feeling to wear.SOLUTION: A denim fabric of the invention comprises: warp yarns mainly including cotton; and weft yarns which includes 40 wt.% or more of polyester filament yarns having a single fiber fineness of 0.1 dtex to 1.7 dtex and inorganic particles of 1 wt.% to 4 wt.% and/or polyamide filament yarns, and are driven into the woven fabric by 10 wt.% or more of the woven fabric. At least 30% of the weft yarns are exposed to a back surface of the woven fabric.
