Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber modifying material which is obtained by using cellulose fibers, exhibits good dispersibility in a dispersion, and is excellent in rubber modifying effect, such as rubber-reinforcing property, and provides a rubber composition having a high elastic modulus, high breaking strength, and low heat build-up property.SOLUTION: The rubber modifying material is obtained by mixing two kinds of cellulose fibers. The number average fiber diameter is 100 nm or less in both of the two kinds of cellulose fibers. In one of the two kinds of cellulose fibers, the number distribution of fibers each having a fiber length of 500 nm or less is 70% or more, and in the other of the two kinds of cellulose fibers, the number distribution of fibers each having a fiber length of 500 nm or less is less than 70%.
