Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode for discharge lamp which allows for recycling of an electrode material discarded conventionally.SOLUTION: A tip 100a of a used anode 100 is cut and removed. A columnar tip 5 of new tungsten is bonded to a body 100b by SPS method, and then the tip 5 is shaped. Consequently, an anode plate 1 including a body of a columnar metal member composed of a used electrode, and a tip 5 of truncated conical part including the electrode tip face is completed. The body is degassed enough, and the laser processing being used once can be used, as it is, in the grooving. |
