PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject recognition device which is capable of improving recognition accuracy when recognizing a subject in an image.SOLUTION: A subject recognition device includes: query feature quantity output means which extracts feature points from respective images constituting a video obtained by photographing a subject and outputs an image feature quantity into which a plurality of feature points extracted from identical positions on the subject in the plurality of images are integrated; database feature quantity output means which extracts feature points respectively from all of images stored in a database and outputs database image feature quantities into which the extracted feature points are integrated; and collation means which collates the video feature quantity with the database image feature quantities to select and output a candidate for an image of the subject from the images stored in the database.
