PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a possibility that data displayed on electronic paper is seen by a third person to prevent leakage of secrets.SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus writes data in electronic paper 100 stored in electronic paper storage means 17, the image forming apparatus writes the data to be written while making a part of the data deficient as deficient data; and stores, in recording means 18, the electronic paper, a user, and the deficient data in association with one another for each of the written data. When the user touches the electronic paper, the image forming apparatus determines whether or not deficient data associated with the specified electronic paper and the specified user is present in the deficient data stored in the storage means, and when determining the presence, the deficient data is written in the electronic paper.
