Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element that is thin, increases the light utilization efficiency while suppressing the heat deformation, and can reduce the color unevenness, and to provide a low-height LED illumination device using the optical element.SOLUTION: Light emitted from a yellow phosphor 2d of an LED 2 comes from an incidence plane 1a as shown by a solid line, then comes to an outgoing surface 1b, is totally reflected on it, and goes to a bottom surface 1d side. The reflected light is reflected on an outward surface 1go of a recess 1 g, and goes via a flange surface 1f or the outgoing surface 1b. Thus, the light utilization efficiency can be increased and the color unevenness can be suppressed. |
