PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet binder preventing damage and failure by not allowing the sheet binder to perform a binding operation if a sheet accessed from an outside of the sheet binder is already bound by staples or the like.SOLUTION: A sheet binder for forming a booklet bundle by holding and binding a sheet bundle formed by transporting and stocking a plurality of sheets at a nip position of a binding tool includes: moving means for moving the binding tool between a first position and a second position so that the nip position is located at either the first or second position, the first position being a position at which a bundle of the stocked sheets is bound, the second position being a position at which a bundle of sheets accessed by a user from an outside of the sheet binder is bound; an introduction path for receiving the sheet bundle accessed from the outside, and introducing the sheet bundle to the second position when the nip position of the binding tool is located at the second position; and a magnet provided on the introduction path.
