Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation amount in restoration processing when restoring a deteriorated color image using a known PSF.SOLUTION: In an image restoration device 3, an original image estimation section 23 evaluates the plausibility of an estimated original image based on a difference between a pixel value of a deteriorated photographed image and an estimated pixel value of the deteriorated image of the estimated original image and a PSF and based on a function for evaluating the sparsity in gradient of the pixel values in the estimated original image. The function for evaluating the sparsity is subjected to a weighting using a weight parameter. By using a weight parameter which is updated in a restoration processing of one representative color channel for restoration processing of an auxiliary color channel, the operation amount in restoration processing in the auxiliary color channel is reduced.
