Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small scale semiconductor device.SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a first circuit, a second circuit and a third circuit. The first circuit generates first information indicating a correspondence relationship between a period of a reference clock and a delay amount per delay element. The second circuit generates second information indicating the number of stages of delay elements corresponding to a set phase difference on the basis of the first information. The third circuit delays the reference clock by a delay amount of the number of stages of delay elements indicated by the second information to generate a delayed clock. The first circuit includes a ring oscillator for generating a first clock having a period equal to a delay amount of one or more delay elements, a frequency divider for dividing the frequency of the reference clock to generate a second clock, and a counter for counting a period of the second clock by using the first clock as a clock pulse, and generates the first information on the basis of a count result by the counter.
