Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the continuation of a program to be viewed or recorded by a simple operation or without any operation when, after the broadcasting of a program on a channel based on some broadcast system is terminated, the continuation of the program is broadcast on a channel based on another broadcast system or on another channel based on the same broadcast system.SOLUTION: A television 101 receives a program X being broadcast on a channel A1 based on terrestrial digital television broadcast and displays the video of the program X. A photographing unit 160 of a portable terminal 102 takes a picture of the video being displayed. A detection unit 140 of the portable terminal 102 detects a digital watermark from the photographed video and decodes it to obtain information about the continuation of the program X. A control unit 150 of the portable terminal 102 causes, on the basis of information about the continuation of the program X, the continuation of the program X being broadcast to be received on a channel B1 of one-seg broadcasting by a receiving unit 130 of the portable terminal 102 on and after the termination of broadcasting of the program X. A display unit 170 of the portable terminal 102 displays the video of a program Yb.
