Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variation in scanning characteristic caused by temperature variation in an optical scanner using torsional vibration.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 1 includes: a mirror 31 having a reflection plane for reflecting a light beam; and elastic coupling sections 16a and 16b serving as a rotation axis k for torsionally vibrating the mirror 31. By oscillating the mirror 31 about the rotation axis k, scanning is performed using the light beam reflected by the reflection plane. A heat actuator 34 connects a weight member 32 so that the weight member 32 can oscillate about the rotation axis k integrally with the mirror 31, and displaces the weight member 32 so that the moment of inertia about the rotation axis k of the weight member 32 decreases as the temperature increases.
