Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch releasing pressure-sensitive adhesive article that is conformable to a textured surface, forms and maintains good adhesion to the textured surface for a long time, and is cleanly removable from the textured surface through stretching without damaging the surface.SOLUTION: A stretch releasing pressure-sensitive adhesive article includes: a backing that includes a continuous layer of foam having a density between about 112 g/L (7 pounds per cubic foot) and about 240 g/L (15 pounds per cubic foot), a caliper between about 0.25 mm (0.01 inch) and 0.50 mm (0.020 inch), a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface; a first layer of a first pressure-sensitive adhesive composition disposed on the first major surface of the layer of foam and in direct contact with the foam; and a nontacky tab. The article exhibits at least 40% surface contact when adhering to a standardized textured surface.
