Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to trace beverage characteristic in a cartridge which the user just has drunk.SOLUTION: The beverage compounding system comprises: a container (110); an attachment mechanism coupled to the container (110); and a cartridge (150) being configured to engage with the attachment mechanism and having at least one kind of beverage components and a unique bar-code identifier (153A) for tracing a set of beverage characteristic associated with the at least one kind of beverage components in the cartridge (150). When the cartridge (150) engages with the attachment mechanism, the attachment mechanism opens the cartridge (150) to the container (110). A set of beverage characteristic includes at least one of flavor, amount of nutrient, functional components of the beverage components, and place and date the beverage was bought. A user can image the bar-code identifier 153A by using a camera 159.
