Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell in which a section groove for sectioning the back electrode of a solar cell can be formed with high accuracy by using an optical laser, and to provide a substrate with an electrode, and a method of manufacturing a solar cell.SOLUTION: A light absorption layer 12 interposed between one surface 11a of a substrate 11 and a first electrode layer (back electrode) 13 is sectioned by making an incident laser beam propagate to the light absorption layer 12. Since the first electrode layer (back electrode) 13 arranged thereon is also sectioned, a first section groove (section groove) 14 of a predetermined width can be formed with high accuracy, for a structure consisting of the light absorption layer 12 and the first electrode layer (back electrode) 13.
