Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more simple configuration of shaft seal device than that of the prior art by enabling an annular space 4 formed between a shaft 1 having a gas supply passage 5 where seal gas flows and a case 2 arranged at a diametral outward side of the shaft 1 to be sealingly closed by seal gas.SOLUTION: A shaft seal device comprises: a rotary seal ring 11 fixed to a case 2; a sleeve 15 having a feeding hole 16 formed to pass it to guide seal gas flowed through a gas supply passage 5 toward the outer peripheral surface side; a stationary seal ring 21 having a seal surface 22 oppositely facing against a seal surface 12 of the rotary seal ring 11; and a resilient member 30 for pushing against the stationary seal ring 21. A seal space 27 into which seal gas is supplied from the feeding hole 16 is formed between the sleeve 15 and the stationary seal ring 21. A gas passage 24 for flowing the seal gas from the seal space 27 into a space between the seal surfaces 12 and 22 is formed in the stationary seal ring 21. |
