Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a guard fence, which can prevent a rupture from being caused near a welded part between a base plate and a support.SOLUTION: A support for a guard fence includes: a base plate 2 which is fixed to a wheel guard and which has an opening 3 opened almost in the center; a hollow support portion 4 which is inserted and fixed in the opening 3; and a rupture prevention portion 5 which has an upper end positioned in an upper area 14 of the base plate 2, which has a lower end positioned in an in-opening area 16 of the base plate 2, and which is fixed to opposed inner surfaces 8 and 8A of the support portion 4.
