Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline form of 3-methoxy-N-{1-[(2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline-7-yl)methyl]piperidine-4-yl}benzamide stable within a use environment thereof as a medicinal drug and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The provided crystal is obtained by dissolving, into a mixed solution of water and ethanol, crystallizing, and drying 3-methoxy-N-{1-[(2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline-7-yl)methyl]piperidine-4-yl}benzamide and has at least one of the following physical properties of (a) through (c): (a) having peaks at 2 =14.5 degrees, 16.3 degrees, 16.7 degrees, and 20.5 degrees on the powder X-ray diffractogram (Cu-Kα) thereof; (b) having a melting point of 197 to 202°C; and (c) having characteristic bands at 687 cm, 1053 cm, 1337 cm, 1541 cm, and 1670 cmon the infrared absorption spectrum thereof. |
