Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of stopping useless transmission of a call signal to a locator.SOLUTION: A locator 3 determines timing of a transmission slot for transmitting a response signal to a calling device 2 based on a piece of information included in a call signal from the calling device 2. Subsequently, the locator 3 determines timing of a reception slot for receiving one slot signal transmitted from the calling device 2 and transmits a response signal to the calling device 2 using the transmission slot. The calling device 2 stops continuous transmission of the call signal using the received response signal as the trigger. Subsequently, the calling device 2 transmits one slot signal at basic frame intervals and switches the operation to receive one slot signal at the basic frame period different from the transmission timing.
