Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain body allowed to be downsized, capable of securing mechanical strength and having high dimensional accuracy in thickness and width.SOLUTION: A strain body which is used for a load cell for measuring weight and allowed to be deformed by transmission of load is formed by powder metallurgy. The strain body includes: a rectangular strain area having a line symmetry shape and uniform thickness, placed on a center, extending in the same direction as an axis of symmetry and having one end and the other end; two first arm parts extending in parallel with the axis of symmetry; a first connection part extending in a direction crossing the axis of symmetry and connected to the one end of the strain area and the first arm parts; two second arm parts arranged clower to the strain area than the first arm parts and extending in parallel with the axis of symmetry; and a second connection part extending in a direction crossing the axis of symmetry and connected to the other end of the strain area and the second arm parts. One of the pair of the first arm parts and the pair of the second arm parts receives load vertical to the strain body and the other of the pair of the first arm parts and the second arm parts is fixed on a support body.
