PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter for a vehicle which can suppress power consumption by the meter itself.SOLUTION: In a meter for a vehicle where various meters including a speedometer and an engine tachometer and indicators such as a warning lamp are attached to a dial 20, a display 24 is installed on the dial 20 in addition to the various meters and indicators, and when a power saving mode is set, power supply to motors driving the various meters and power supply to illumination light sources of the various meters and indicators are stopped, and a travel speed of a vehicle and the indicators are indicated on the display 24.
