Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture method of seaweed seedling which makes large-scale culture of seaweed seedling efficient, and realizes cost reduction in culture of seaweed seedling by the efficient large-scale culture of seaweed seedling.SOLUTION: There is provided a culture method of seaweed seedling which comprises a long slim-type water tank 3 whose longitudinal width is narrow in which culture water 2 for culturing seaweed seedling 1 is filled, in which the seaweed seedling 1 is adhered on a surface of a seaweed adherent substrate 5, the seaweed adherent substrate 5 on the surface of which the seaweed seedling 1 is adhered is arranged vertically in the water tank 3 such that the surface of the seaweed adherent substrate 5 faces front and rear faces of the water tank, an LED 11 being a light source 10 for culturing the seaweed seedling 1 is installed so as to face the front and rear faces of the water tank to which the surface of the vertically arranged seaweed adherent substrate 5 faces, and the seaweed seedling 1 adhered on the seaweed adherent substrate 5 is irradiated with light of the LED 11 from the front and rear faces of the water tank 3.
