Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently separating radioactive cesium from a solution containing radioactive cesium.SOLUTION: A method for removing radioactive cesium comprises: agitating a solution containing radioactive cesium with a magnetic adsorbent; removing the magnetic adsorbent with a magnetic separation device; and making the solution pass through a separation membrane. The separation membrane is preferably a MF (microfiltration) membrane. A material obtained by binding magnetic particles and zeolite with use of an aqueous resin emulsion or a water-resistant water soluble resin is preferably used as the magnetic adsorbent. A material obtained by binding magnetic particles and an insoluble ferrocyanide with use of the aqueous resin emulsion or the water-resistant water soluble resin is preferably used as the magnetic adsorbent. |
